Lexia At Home Support
Lexia understands how disruptive an extended school closure can be and we are committed to helping you ensure the continuity of student learning. Lexia® Core5® Reading and Lexia® PowerUp Literacy® can be used from home as part of a remote learning implementation during extended school closures or other special circumstances. We want to make sure that you are aware of the resources that you have available through Lexia to support remote student learning. Lexia's Customer Success team is hosting a series of 45-minute webinars to support families with their understanding of the student programs, supporting home use, and more.

Lexia Close Reads
Created for upper-elementary students, Lexia Close Reads provide opportunities for critical reading and analysis with a variety of real-world text types and engaging topics. The full-color student readers are organized in sets and can be used to develop fluency and comprehension while promoting higher-order thinking, collaboration, and discussion. The two-page student readers include plays, fables, myths, science fiction, realistic fiction, and informational passages—all with engaging content and robust vocabulary. They support skill development in: • Identifying main idea and details • Exploring narrative text structure • Comparing and contrasting • Analyzing cause and effect • Sequencing events • Evaluating an author’s viewpoint • Making inferences and conclusions • Predicting outcomes • Using text evidence • Recognizing conventions of drama
